According to Deadline, La Brea Season 3 may see some challenges in the following season. The report says the series has been renewed for six additional episodes, fewer than in prior seasons. The third season would most likely be the series' final season, barring dramatic changes in structure and plot.

La Brea Season 3 Cut Short
La Brea Season 3 could be influenced by an expected writer and/or director and actor strike, which would hamper the series' production. The third season will begin filming in Australia in March. The WGA contract is now due to expire on May 1, 2023.
A potential labor stoppage that could affect both the production and release of the third season of the series is also signalled by the fact that the DGA and SAG-AFTRA contracts will expire at the end of June. Many future and ongoing television productions, like the now ostensibly doomed La Brea, have been impacted by the impending strike. Several weeks of the autumn television season might potentially have an empty schedule for many networks.

La Brea Season 3 May Be The Final Season
Despite the fact that La Brea Season 3 may be the final season, there is a slight chance that it will be revived with new characters performed by a fresh cast. The imminent strikes may have had a role in La Bea's renewal for a third season, as the start of the filming schedule would allow for several episodes to be produced prior to a potential strike.
The fact that La Brea is produced outside of the United States also gives the series an edge in the event of a strike.
La Brea is currently in its second season, with Season 2B kicking off tonight on NBC with back-to-back episodes. The episodes will then be available for viewing on Peacock the next day.
