Kylo Ren and The First Order are Literally Blown Away in New Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Image

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is coming out this December and it looks like Disney is going to reveal more details about the movie now that the release date is drawing near. We've got some new images as of late and they, as usual, don't give us a lot of details to work off, though they are intriguing. The most recent one from Empire has a lot of people hyped since it has Kylo Ren and several stormtroopers literally being blown away.

While it's too early to assume anything, there's a good chance that this is the Resistance being more aggressive in their battle against The New Order. This could also be the return of Emperor Palpatine, though that's a bit of a stretch. Our final bet is that this is Rey launching a full assault at them and this could be a massive Force push from her.

That or one of the ship's hatchets was blown away by Resistance weapons.

Obviously, there are a lot of things we could guess from this image alone, which has always been a positive thing about Star Wars marketing. Hopefully, we get another trailer or two before the movie comes out, which is likely since this is Disney we're talking about. I always like how the trailers of recent Star Wars movies don't give anything away and it should stay that way.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out on December 20.
