After Kurama died in Boruto Chapter 55, fans of the shounen anime created theories about Kurama’s possible eventual return in Boruto. But is it also possible that Kurama is gone forever? Or is there a way for him to come back?

Can Kurama Die?
Kurama and the other Tailed Beasts can die, although it rarely happens. They do not die from old age or wounds, but if they expend more chakra than they can acquire, they can die.
When Naruto faced Isshiki, he and Kurama knew the only way to win was to use Baryon Mode. But this ability can cost them Naruto’s life.
However, this did not stop Naruto, as his ultimate goal was to save the village.
Unbeknownst to him, Kurama put his own life at risk by using all of his chakra to activate Baryon Mode.

Is It Possible for Kurama to Come Back?
In Naruto Chapter 503, it was revealed that Tailed Beasts do not permanently die. Since they are made of pure chakra, they will just have to be re-formed.
However, since Kurama has the most chakra out of all the Tailed Beasts, we don’t know when he will return.
Chapters 642 to 643 of the Naruto manga also revealed that if a large portion of Kurama’s chakra was separated, his chakra could create a sentient copy of him.
However, we do not know if that happened in the series.
If we consider these, there is a huge chance that Kurama will be back. For now, fans will have to be patient while waiting for Kurama’s possible return.
Fans also have a theory that there is another way for Naruto to bring back Kurama through Omnipotence, a Shinjutsu that allows a user to turn his desire into reality.
If Naruto acquires this ability from Eida or if she cooperates with him, there is a huge chance Kurama might return instantly.
Unfortunately, this possibility is low as Eida is not on Naruto's side. In fact, she swapped Kawaki and Boruto, changing the entire flow of the story.
Remember, these are just fan theories based on what happened in Naruto and Boruto.
It would be good to have Kurama back, but since Naruto is only a secondary character in the ongoing series now, we cannot assume that his needs will be prioritized.
