Krysten Ritter No Longer Interested In Working On Jessica Jones Season 4

The final season of Jessica Jones certainly had people hoping that the Marvel heroine would be set for at least one more season. However, it looks like Krysten Ritter is no longer interested in reprising her role as the superpowered private investigator.

Ritter was recently asked by TVLine if there was any chance she would return in Jessica Jones Season 4. Interestingly, the former Breaking Bad star stated that she has no plans of revisiting the character.

"Do I think I'll play her again? I don't think so," Ritter said. "I feel like I've played her, you know? I feel really good about it. I feel good about closing the door."

Of course, Season 3 left us with more possible Jessica stories to tell. Although she initially decided to leave her business with Malcolm and leave her life behind, she ultimately changed her mind when Kilgrave whispered that she was doing the right thing. So Jessica is still somewhere in New York possibly beating bad guys but we'll never get to see her do it again.

Interestingly, even if Ritter and the rest of the Jessica Jones cast would consider returning for Season 4, they would need to do it without creator Melissa Rosenberg. After all, Rosenberg is already signed on exclusively to Warner Bros. and even echoed Ritter's sentiments.

"I feel like this is a really complete, closed chapter," Rosenberg said. "I mean, never say never. But I feel ready to tell all-new stories."

Jessica Jones Season 3 is currently streaming on Netflix.
