Kooky Teaser for Netflix’s The Midnight Gospel is Adventure Time on (More) Acid

Pendleton Ward had made history with Cartoon Network when he made Adventure Time, but now he's teamed up with Netflix for a more adult-oriented trip called The Midnight Gospel. We have a new teaser for the show, and it looks absolutely bonkers.

Here's the official description:

Clancy is a space-caster who uses a multiverse simulator to interview beings living in other worlds. Created by Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time) and Duncan Trussell (Duncan Trussell Family Hour podcast).

There's also this short tagline for the show that reads: Traversing trippy worlds inside his multiverse simulator, a space-caster explores existential questions about life, death and everything in between.

According to TV Series Finale, the show will actually take clips from Trussell's Family Hour podcast and have them animated in the surreal nature of Ward's work. It already sounds pretty crazy, and I'm interested to see what kind of trippy concepts we can expect from The Midnight Gospel.

With movies and events getting canceled left and right, people stuck at home are going to be relying on TV and video games more than usual. At this point, I think Netflix is going to get a huge influx in viewership, and I can only imagine the setback when they run out of new things to pump out; but then again, that seems like a faraway problem.

For now, The Midnight Gospel is set to hit Netflix on April 20.
