Kokdu: Season of Deity explores the life of a grim reaper named Kokdu, who goes to the world every 99 years to punish humans. While Han Gye Jeol wants Do Jin Woo back, she temporarily makes Kokdu return to the underworld through her words.
The K-drama series also features Ahn Woo Yeon, Kim In Kwon and Cha Chung Hwa as lead characters.

Kokdu: Season of Deity Episode 9 Recap
After Joong Sik finds out about Kokdu’s identity, he tells Chairman Kim Pil Soo about his weakness and how they will be able to get rid of him through Han Gye Jeol.
The chairman tries to keep her closer by offering her a position at Pilseong. When Kokdu appears, he finally checks whether Han Gye Jeol can really control him.
The two have an argument afterwards, but it helps her realize how she truly feels about him. When she is about to tell him she loves him, Kokdu cuts her and kisses her instead. He is then reminded of how his cursed life would end and have eternal peace. He says he cannot be at peace if Han Gye Jeol herself does not have it. To keep her safe while working hard to give her happiness, he asks her to move in with him.
Han Chul almost catches Han Gye Jeol and Kokdu together, with the former not having a clue about her brother’s investigation. He warns her not to date Do Jin Woo because he is dangerous, but he does not mention about the probe.
Meanwhile, Kokdu sends Chairman Kim Pil Soo a warning.

Because of Kokdu’s contradicting actions and words, Han Gye Jeol thinks he only wants to be friends with benefits.
