Kokdu: Season of Deity explores the life of a grim reaper named Kokdu, who goes to the world every 99 years to punish humans. He then meets Han Gye Jeol, who plays a huge role in his life.

Kokdu: Season of Deity Episode 3 Recap
Kokdu (Kim Jung Hyun) realizes that he responds to what Han Gye Jeol (Lim Soo Hyang) tells him to do even when he does not want to. He asks her whether she is Seol Hee, the woman he loves who died centuries ago.
Although Kokdu remembers Seol Hee’s name through the ring, he cannot remember what she looks like or what she is like. He tells her that the woman caused her pain and suffering but also his only saving grace. Unfortunately, Han Gye Jeol does not know what he is talking about.
He tells Ok Shin and Gakshin about Han Gye Jeol and Seol Hee. With that, they decide to take revenge against her and be freed from his pain by making her fall in love with him.
After losing her job, Han Gye Jeol starts looking for a new job. But her search reminds her of her past love, Jung Yi Deun (Lee Jung Jun).

While trying to send an application, she receives a job notification inviting her to apply as a house-call doctor. It turns out Kokdu was the one who sent it. Part of the contract also makes her date him for 90 days. However, things are not easy to do for both of them.
Kokdu loses his abilities after Han Gye Jeol wishes all his bones to be broken. While on his way to kill a murderer named Choi Kwang Moo. His reckless actions make Han Cheol more curious about people who suddenly disappear.
Kokdu: Season of Deity episode 3 also highlights how Han Gye Jeol wants Kokdu to show her something to prove he is sincere about dating her instead of making her sign a contract.
Before starting her new work, Han Gye Jeol starts to move her thing into her new house. They bump into Choi Dal Sung (Woo Hyeon) who suffers a heart attack after seeing Kokdu, whom he refers to as a ghost. Moon Myung Ja (Lee Young Ran), on the other hand, has something to do with it.
At the end of the episode, Kokdu surprises Han Gye Jeol with something she and her mother only know.
