Because the Koikimo finale is already out in the open, we finally get to see who ends up with who and we are all excited to know how it all ends plus if there would be a Season 2 despite the end of the manga series recently. Who does Ryō End Up Within Koikimo?
In the season finale, Koikimo Episode 12, You're Creepy, we see the truth finally come out and who ends up with who. Ryō was definitely avoiding Ichika and he gets some tough love from Masuda that he has to face his fears. Ryō reveals that he feels that Ichika now has feelings for him and he's scared if he might not be the one she needs and that he might not be able to care for her and be responsible as the adult in their relationship.
Masuda tells him he has to face Ichika as she might not always be there forever if he keeps running from her. Earlier in the series, we saw how Ryō declined Arie after she confessed to him which was indicative of how much Ryō loves Ichika, that despite being a womanizer all his life, he has finally changed his ways when he met her.
During the confrontation scene at the stairs of the station, Ryō gets a real serving from Ichika on her feelings. He even got slapped as Ichika told him he could not dictate how she feels. Ichika recalls the story of how they met, how she saved her from falling off the same stairs, and how she immediately called him creepy for asking in such a bold way as he was so straightforward.
This escalated quickly with Ichika telling Ryō that she loves him. He answers that he loves her back but there's a question Ichika left for him, "will you wait for me until I'm an adult?" As Ryō tells her that she can have all the time they would need, we see Ryō finally settling down on one person – Ichika. He even tells his father this plan and despite being called stubborn; he gets his way until the end.
It's an easy answer: Ryō ends up with Ichika and possibly, if we ever get a second season, we might have the story of how Ryō would wait for Ichika until she is an adult. A happy ending for Ichika and Ryō, indeed. If you haven't seen it yet, it is available on Crunchyroll for their premium access subscription of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year.
