Kingpin Actor Vincent D'Onofrio Open to Playing Lex Luthor

Though Marvel has been known to have some so-so villains in the past, Daredevil's Wilson Fisk is definitely someone who breaks the mold. The role is played wonderfully by Vincent D'Onofrio, and he has an idea on who he wants to play should he ever step over to DC.

When asked if he would be open to playing another Daredevil character, D'Onofrio replied with:

D'Onofrio is no doubt a very unique actor and he has a very interesting tendency to disappear into the roles that he takes. Did you know that he was also the cockroach man from the first Men in Black film? You'd never think that him and Kingpin were the same actor!

Though the DCEU already has a Lex Luthor in the form of Jesse Eisenberg, WB is slowly opening up to the concept of a multiverse. This will be first introduced with the Joker film next year starring Joaquin Phoenix. Whose to say we can't have a Superman: Red Son adaptation with D'Onofrio playing the role of Lex Luthor?

For now, it looks like D'Onofrio is snug in his position as the Kingpin with Marvel, but with all the Marvel Netflix shows getting canceled, he could be out of the job soon. Fingers crossed they pool him over to the larger MCU and have his Kingpin come face to face with Tom Holland's Spider-Man.

We're waiting, Marvel!

D'Onofrio isn't joining DC anytime soon, but you can catch him and his fantastic portrayal of Wilson Fisk in Netflix's Daredevil.
