Square Enix just released, what appears to be, the final trailer to Kingdom Hearts III and it is the darkest one yet. While the previous videos have highlighted various Disney worlds and the fun gameplay, this one focuses more on the story and a few returning characters. Fans will be very pleased with two of the returning characters and one confirmed Disney hero that wasn't shown previously.
Teased since Birth by Sleep, we actually get a decent glimpse at Ventus, who gets captured by a ton of blue chains. Then there's a mysterious Organization XIII member who appears to be Nomine, a character that Sora was supposed to save after the events of Re: Coded. We also get a brief tease of Roxas, who is Sora's Nobody.
Disney fans will love the fact that Ratatouille is in the game, though it looks like there won't be a world that is based on the magnificent film. We also see Stitch as a summon, a role that the character is reprising after being one for Kingdom Hearts II. Experiment 626 joins Ariel and Wreck-it-Ralph as part of the game's Disney-oriented summons.
Various gameplay clips are also seen and they tease some good and not-so-good things about the game. It looks like Riku is going to be playable in certain sections, which will make fans of Dream Drop Distance very happy. Sadly, there are also a number of odd-looking mini-games that may or may not be fun, like the dancing in Tangled.
Kingdom Hearts III comes out on January 29 for PS4 and Xbox One.
