King Kong and Godzilla's Shared Universe Finally Has a Name

The shared universe of King Kong and Godzilla finally has an official movie name, and it knocks the ball right off the park. Godzilla vs. Kong, which will premiere in 2020, will take place in Monsterverse.

Aside from everyone's favorite giant ape and Japan's king of big, bad creatures, the other beasts which had appeared in their prevous films can show up too. That would include the "skull crawlers" in the soon-to-premiere Kong: Skull Island, and the Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms (MUTO) that trashed California in 2014's Godzilla.

Cinemablend says that lettering in the toy merchandising of Kong: Skull Island gave the studio's hand away. Some clever fans noticed the words at the bottom: MonsterVerse. It's cool, fun, and bloody appropriate. If you think about it, what other better name could you give these two monsters' shared universe?
