Kim Tae Ri spoke highly about her role in the upcoming sci-fi film, Alienoid.
After starring in the romance drama Twenty Five Twenty One, Kim Tae Ri had been tapped to become part of the cast members of the Choi Dong Hoon-directed film.
Alienoid is an upcoming two-part sci-fi film about a mysterious time portal that suddenly opens and connects Taoists from the Goryeo dynasty. They search for a legendary sword in 2022 and chase down an alien prisoner that has been enclosed in a human’s body.
Ahead of the release, the actress talked about her character during an interview with Elle Korea.

Kim Tae Ri Expresses Gratitude After Alienoid Casting
In the film, Kim Tae Ri plays the role of Lee Ahn. She can shoot thunder in the movie.
The actress recently became the cover star of Elle Korea and sat for an interview with them. She particularly talked about her character and why she felt lucky to work with director Choi Dong Hoon.
“As I looked at the script that had my name on it, I sincerely thought, ‘Is this a dream or real life?’ For young actors, we are thankful that someone like director Choi Dong Hoon would decide to take a risk by appointing a young actor to an important role,” she said.

Kim Tae Ri also touched on the fact that she has the tendency to accept everything and understand it on her own. Just like what her fans see her, she is indeed a fast learner who spends her time working diligently on her projects.
For her, Lee Ahn is a kind, honest, and independent character who can control herself.
Kim Tae Ri Always Wanted To Work With Director Choi Dong Hoon
In a separate interview, Kim Tae Ri applauded the director’s talent, which made her want to work with him.
“The script in ‘Alienoid’ doesn’t have any lines that were written carelessly, it’s only full of words that were chosen specifically with a sense of purpose,” she said.
Kim Tae Ri mentioned that she challenged herself in the movie and helped herself with assistance from the director.
The first part of Alienoid will premiere on July 20.
