Kim So Yeon and the whole cast of The Penthouse: War in Lifeleft a lasting impression on the viewers throughout its three seasons.

SBS TV premiered the first part of The Penthouse: War in Life which tells the story of women who do everything to protect themselves and their children. The series immediately became a hit that the network decided to drop two more seasons after the success of the first one.

In the series, Kim So Yeon plays the role of the wealthy woman Cheon Seo Jin who is known for her arrogance and capacity to do everything using her power, money, and pride. She urges her daughter, Ha Eun Byeol, to beat Oh Yoon Hee’s daughter, Bae Ro Na.

As one of the main antagonists in the series, the actress received critical responses for her commendable acting.

Kim So Yeon Has Something To Feel Grateful For After The Penthouse Airing

The actress recently unleashed her signature aura in front of the camera as she posed for Marie Claire. During her interview with the magazine, she talked about her antagonist role and the drama, revealing that those allowed her to show her side she has never shown to anyone before.

“I was able to express all the various emotions of a villain that I could as an actress. It’s a grateful project that allowed me to try [portraying] diverse emotions to my heart’s content,” she said.

Her outstanding portrayal of the character is seemingly rooted in her undying passion for acting.

Elsewhere in the interview, she opened up about having mixed feelings whenever she prepares for a project. But after feeling happy, excited, and fearful, the actress gets the best output of her works in the end.

As of press time, she began challenging herself again through Tale of the Nine-Tailed, expressing her desire to continue working on projects that would excite and inspire her in the future.

Kim So Yeon To Work With Lee Dong Wook, Kim Bum

Kim So Yeon’s pictorial happened before the highly-anticipated return of Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum to Tales of the Nine-Tailed 2.

The tvN drama’s production team confirmed that the three stars held a script reading on April 18. Kim So Yeon became the newest cast member of the series, while Jo Bo Ah – Lee Dong Wook’s opposite – would not appear in the drama.

The new installment tells the story of Lee Dong Wook’s Lee Yeon becoming a mountain god. It also explores Kim Bum’s unfinished story from the season 1.
