Kim Sae Ron continues to reflect on the drunk driving incident that caused her to leave her upcoming K-drama, Trolley.
Kim Sae Ron is currently under investigation after getting involved in a DUI incident. Initial reports said that she crashed multiple roadside structures thrice at Cheongdam-dong's Hakdong intersection and caused a power outage in the area.
The actress already offered an apology through her agency, Gold Medalist Entertainment, and pledged to cooperate with the authorities’ investigation. But she still shared a handwritten apology recently to personally address the incident.
Kim Sae Ron Shares Letter of Apology to Fans, Followers
One day after the incident, Kim Sae Ron took to her Instagram and shared a lengthy apology letter which also revealed what happened on that day.
Per the actress, she caused an accident and damaged public property in Gangnam on May 18. She admitted that she committed the mistake while she was drunk.

She added:
“Because of my wrong judgment and behavior, I’ve caused an inconvenience to so many people, including merchants in nearby shops, citizens, and those who work to restore [the damage]. Although I needed to act more prudently and with more responsibility, I wasn’t able to do so. I sincerely apologize. I am currently working with my agency to fix the damages caused by the accident, and I will do my best to actively communicate and resolve this until the end.”
Kim Sae Ron also apologized to the producers and co-stars – in Trolley and Netflix series Hunting Dogs – as both flicks needed to apply changes following the occurrence.
She ended her letter by assuring that she would reflect on the unfortunate incident again to ensure that a similar event would not happen again.
Kim Sae Ron Loses SBS Project; Netflix Series Yet To Reveal Final Agreement
Following the news, Gold Medalist Entertainment revealed that the actress ultimately left her role in the upcoming SBS K-drama, Trolley.
Studio S responded to her request and approved her departure. The agency also sent them an apology letter.
Hunting Dogs disclosed in a separate statement that they would adjust the shooting schedule amid their filming. It also divulged that a discussion would happen to make the necessary arrangements.
It remains unknown whether Kim Sae Ron would also be cut off from the flick.
