Kim Kardashian became the victim of a hotel robbery in Paris in 2016. She was in France for the Paris Fashion Week and was ambushed by a group of robbers who were already in their 60s while she was inside her hotel room. The incident left the reality TV star traumatized. But one of the suspects seemingly suggested that Pete Davidson’s ex-girlfriend is the one to blame for what happened.

While speaking with Vice News, suspect Yunis Abbas claimed that Kim Kardashian shouldn’t have shown off her expensive jewelry on social media ahead of her outing. After all, this tempted him and his fellow suspects to go to her hotel room and tie her up in the bathtub while they steal some of her personal belongings.
“Since she was throwing money away, I was there to collect it, and that was that. Guilty? No, I don’t care. They should be a little less showy towards people who can’t afford it. For some people, it’s provocative,” he said.

Yunis Abbas Detailed How He And The Other Robbers Tracked Kim Kardashian Down
Abbas, who didn’t show any remorse while recounting what happened six years ago, said that he and the other robbers tracked Kardashian down online. He stayed in the lobby to keep track of the guard while the other suspects barged into the reality TV star’s room.
The robbers managed to steal $10 million worth of jewelry, including the engagement ring that Kanye West gave Kardashian years ago.
According to Abbas, Kardashian’s staff also made the mistake of calling 911 after they found out about what happened. Since 911 is in the United States, the robbers got more time to get out of the hotel without being caught by the policemen who were standing outside the property.
“Madame Kardashian’s secretary called for help. But she called 911 in the United States, which scared us, which made them lose a lot of time. And when we got out, there was a bunch of police outside who didn’t know anything about the robbery,” he said.
Following the incident, Abbas faced a 22-month jail time before he was released due to some health issues related to his heart, according to Page Six.
And even though six years have already passed since the hotel robbery heist, the suspect acknowledged the fact that the incident must have left Kardashian traumatized.
Kim Kardashian Still Traumatized By The Paris Hotel Heist
In fact, shortly after the incident made front-page news, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Kardashian was absolutely traumatized and was still in shock. Reports revealed that she was already sleeping in her hotel room when the robbers held her at gunpoint.
“When the incident happened, [Kim] was half asleep and was woken up so abruptly. She was in little sleep, to begin with, since getting to Paris. She still hasn’t fully been able to comprehend what happened. The concierge brought the men up into Kim's bedroom. She heard really loud footsteps in the apartment coming up to the second floor, where she was sleeping. She picked up her cell but wasn't able to call [her bodyguard] in time before one of the guys grabbed it out of her hand, and she realized what was happening. It was absolutely horrific,” the source said.
