Kevin Feige Teases Something 'Amazing' for Eventual Captain Marvel 2

We all know that Captain Marvel is going to be a big release for Marvel, not only featuring its first solo female lead but also having huge ties to Avengers: Endgame. Nick Fury was seen sending her a message via a beeper after all and we need to know why she wasn't around during the other Marvel movies. Once phase four starts, however, fans are curious about a future sequel with the character.

During an interview with ScreenRant, Marvel head Kevin Feige claimed that they have ideas that could result in an amazing second film. Feige will always be a hype man for Marvel (unless you ask him about Inhumans), but for the sake of quality let's hope he's spot on about this.

Here is what Feige told the website during a press junket:

"The making of a first film is in some ways a brainstorm on the future and on what can be. So what it will be again is not clear. But what it could be is pretty amazing."

Marvel Studios has a mixed reputation when it comes to second installments. Both Iron Man 2 and Thor: The Dark World are pretty mediocre, while Avengers: Age of Ultron was enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. On the other hand, Captain America: Winter Soldier improved upon everything from The First Avenger and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 deserves more love for its characterization.

Captain Marvel comes out in a few days, so if you haven't already, reserve those tickets and stay put for the post-credit sequences.
