Kevin Feige Says Disney+ Marvel Series Are Connected To The MCU

Back in September last year, Marvel Studios announced that it was going to develop a number of limited series for Marvel heroes that never got to have their own standalone film like the Asgardian God of Mischief Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) together with Vision (Paul Bettany), and Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper) together with Groot (Vin Diesel). These shows were to premiere in Disney's new streaming site, Disney+.

Now, as Disney gears up to launch its sit, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige tells fans that the streaming service will be entirely connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking in an interview with ComicBook.com, Feige talked about Marvel's connection to the upcoming series on Disney+, explaining that the shows for Loki, Scarlet Witch, Rocket Raccoon, and the others, are all going to be woven into the canon of the MCU.

These will be Marvel Studios productions," the Marvel executive explained. "They will be entirely interwoven with both the current MCU, the past MCU, and the future of the MCU."

It definitely makes sense. At one point, there were rumors saying that Hiddleston's Loki series would explore different periods in the MCU, following the Asgardian God of Mischief in different points in his life.

Right now there aren't many details about Marvel's upcoming projects, but hopefully, announcements regarding the Loki series and the other series will come around soon. Maybe during San Diego Comic-Con, after the release of Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
