Kevin Feige Hints At Goose’s Status In The MCU After Captain Marvel

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel might have been Brie Larson's standalone film as Carol Danvers, but the Flerkin Goose couldn't help but steal the hero's thunder. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige teases the Flerken's status in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Speaking in an interview with Feige, Slash Film couldn't help but talk about Goose (it's hard not to, considering how adorable the cat is), asking where the Flerkin might be hiding in the gap between Captain Marvel and the current timeline of the MCU.

The news entertainment outlet suggested that Goose's backstory could be explored further in a Marvel series on Disney+, an idea which Feige loved.

"I love it! And by the way, that's one of the fun things about Disney+ is we could actually do ideas like that," the Marvel Studios executive hinted.

Feige went on exploring the idea, talking about how fun it is to introduce new characters and feature them in future projects.

"The fun thing about introducing new characters and all these movies is suddenly going from a character that maybe you'd heard of if you'd read the books, but if you hadn't, you'd never heard of him," Feige said, "And then you see the movie, you go, ‘I want to see more of that character.' And the fact that you and other people are asking, 'When do we see more of the cat?'"

Fans have certainly been eager to know more about the Flerken. In fact, some have been even wondering whether Goose makes it out of Thanos' Decimation alive and whether we'd get to see her again in Endgame.

While an average cat lives up to around 15 years, Goose is an alien species, so we could probably bet that she would live longer. Flerkins are a resilient bunch, after all.

"But that's a cat, a flerken might be longer lived. And as we know from the comics, flerken procreate quite a bit....So I'm sure there are more flerken out there. And is Goose out there? She could be," Feige teased.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see where Goose pops up next. Do you think she'll appear in Endgame or maybe in Captain Marvel 2?

Let's wait and see.

Captain Marvel is currently screening in cinemas.
