Kevin Feige Confirms Abomination and Wong Fight in Shang-Chi Trailer

There is little doubt that the last scene featured in the new Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings trailer totally stole the show. But is that really the Abomination going up against Wong? Kevin Feige has just confirmed exactly what you thought.

The final scene in the latest Shang-Chi trailer featured Katy and Shang-Chi attending what appears to be a cage match in a large arena. Katy tells her friend, "You got this," just as Abomination throws Wong against the chains. "Thank you," an unconvinced Shang-Chi replies.

We all love that scene and people have been talking about it for days now. However, some are still unsure about the fighters with a few pointing out that "Abomination" might actually be a jacked-up version of Fin Fang Foom while the monk is just another magic monk.

So is Abomination vs Wong the real deal? Feige spoke to Rotten Tomatoes about the scene and the Marvel Studios boss didn't even bother to deny it.

"Some fans said, ‘This looks like a character they hadn't seen in many years named The Abomination, fighting a character that looks like Wong," Feige said. "And I can say that the reason it looks like that is because that is Abomination fighting Wong."

Although it's great that Feige is confirming exactly what we saw, we're also a little wary of what crazy match-ups we'll get in Shang-Chi. Needless to say, if Abomination vs Wong isn't the craziest thing to expect, there is little doubt that the movie is going to be bonkers.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Tony Leung, Michelle Yeoh, Fala Chen, Meng'er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, and Ronny Chieng. The movie will premiere on September 3, 2021.
