Kep1er Reveals Fandom Name, Colors Following Release of Debut Project, FIRST IMPACT

Kep1er finally entered the K-pop industry with amazing updates to fans.

After months of search through the Mnet's Girls Planet 999, nine trainees bloomed and got selected to debut in a new girl group. The final lineup includes members Choi Yujin, Shen Xiaoting, Sakamoto Mashiro, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Ezaki Hikaru, Hening Bahiyyih, Seo Youngeun, and Kang Yeseo.

Kep1er officially marked their debut on Monday, releasing their first mini-album, First Impact. But aside from their first project, the girl group also decided on their official fandom name and color.

Kep1er's Fandom Name, Colors Revealed

Following their highly-anticipated debut, the girl group revealed more details about their fandom by selecting its official fandom name and colors.

The official Twitter account of Kep1er disclosed that the group's official fanclub name is Kep1ian, pronounced as Keplian, which means "people who support Kep1er.

The same social media account stated the fandom's official colors – Lavender & White and Lavender & Yellow.

Fans immediately applauded the group and thanked them for naming the fanclub immediately. What made the announcement more remarkable was that their agencies, WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment, released the group's title song WA DA DA following their special performance at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Kep1er Shares True Feelings Following Debut

Initially, Kep1er was scheduled to debut in December. However, the COVID-19 pandemic caused them to push back their schedule.

According to Yujin, they wanted to debut without disappointing the fans who have been supporting them since Girls Planet 999 era. So with their fandom colors, she hopes that the girl group would grow into something that gives people strength.

Although they are only a project group, the members shared their thoughts about debuting with other girl groups.

"Our energy and performance. We have the energy of people running to catch their dreams. We'll showcase that energy through our performance," Hikaru said, as quoted by Soompi.

Yujin previously debuted in CLC, while Yeseo was once part of Busters. With their new group, the members hope they will last even after their contracts expire in 2024.
