Aside from the ongoing TV drama, the My Home Hero manga is getting another live-action adaptation, this time, with a movie that’s coming soon. Today, the My Home Hero live-action film got a new trailer that revealed Nanami VA Kenjiro Tsuda is part of the cast.

This upcoming film was announced alongside the TV drama back in August. At the time, only its main cast has been shown.

Now, the new trailer revealed that the popular anime VA is part of the cast. This may come as a surprise to some, especially to those who only know Kenjiro Tsuda for his anime work.

Kenjiro Tsuda: More Than Just an Anime Voice Actor

Kenjiro Tsuda (or TsudaKen) is a popular anime VA who is best known for voicing Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen.

He has also voiced other popular characters over the years like Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh! and Kishibe in Chainsaw Man.

TsudaKen is popular among anime fans for his deep and distinctive voice that’s unmistakable when you hear it.

He’s not just a great anime VA though, as Tsuda is also a go-to voice actor for Japanese dubs of Hollywood films. On top of this, Tsuda is also an accomplished stage and live-action drama actor.

For instance, Tsuda is the VA tapped to play the Japanese voice of actors such as Colin Farrell, Jamie Dornan, and Adam Driver.

As for his live-action work, Tsuda played a role in the My Happy Marriage film. He has also been tapped to play roles in the upcoming Trillion Game and Ooku: The Inner Chambers dramas.

My Home Hero Live-Action Trailer Reveals Kenjiro Tsuda Role

Soon, TsudaKen will portray yet another role in live-action, this time in the upcoming My Home Hero movie. The film’s new trailer showed Tsuda along with other new cast members.

In the film, Tsuda plays the role of Shino, a supporting character in the story who is a strong figure in the criminal underworld. Shino is voiced by Koichi Yamadera (Ryoji Kaji in Neon Genesis Evangelion) in the anime.

Aside from showing Tsuda, the trailer also previews the film’s theme song titled Insomnia by Eve, the singer behind the first Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 opening song.

The My Home Hero live-action movie will be released in Japan on March 8, 2024. Currently, there’s no word on international release plans for the film.
