There's no denying that the Star Wars sequel trilogy failed to hit the mark with longtime fans of the franchise but if there's one thing we learned from 2023, it's that Lucasfilm is determined to win them back.

Back in April, it was confirmed that Daisy Ridley will once again be headlining her own Star Wars film, centered on Rey (Skywalker) establishing her own Jedi Order. As it stands, the project's script is still being penned and production won't begin anytime soon.

Naturally, Ridley's involvement sparked speculation that the next film will also mark the return of other characters from the sequels. However, it seems like one actor isn't interested in coming back.

On the Smartless podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Driver was asked about the franchise's current state, saying: "[Lucasfilm] are doing stuff, but not with me".

The Ferrari actor would then clarify that his days of using the Force are pretty much over. "I'm not doing it anymore." Driver was an integral part of the sequel trilogy and his character Kylo Ren was initially poised to become the galaxy's next big bad.

However, Kylo's creative direction would change drastically throughout the films, and by The Rise of Skywalker, he was given a Darth Vader-like redemption, something that according to him wasn't part of the original plans.

Of course, there's a good chance Driver is just trying to keep things under wraps as best as he can to avoid giving away potential spoilers, especially with Star Wars' next big screen project featuring characters from the sequels.
