Fans who are anticipating the release of the tvN drama Melancholia have to wait for another week. This is due to several staff members testing positive for COVID-19.
A representative from the forthcoming Kdrama Melancholia said that the rest of the cast and staff members got tested for COVID-19 after one of the production staff turned out positive.
As a result of the PCR tests, three other staff members tested positive while everyone else tested negative for COVID-19.
As a safety measure, the crew decided to postpone the first broadcast schedule inevitably as the members’ health is the top priority.
Instead of Melancholia airing its first episode on November 3, viewers will have to wait for one whole week as it will now premiere on November 10.
tvN’s Melancholia Is An Interesting Story Between A Math Teacher And A Troublesome Student
Melancholia will depict the story of Ji Yoon Soo, which will be portrayed by Im Soo Jung. The Chicago Typewriter actress is a mathematics teacher at a private high school that happens to be a hotbed of corruption.
Opposite Ji Yoon Soo is Baek Seung Yoo, played by Lee Do Hyun. Baek Seung Yoo is a troublesome student who appears to be a math prodigy.
Despite the relationship as a teacher and student, Ji Yoon Soo and Baek Seung Yoo fight together to overcome social conventions while the former helps the student rise to the top of the class.

The forthcoming tvN Kdrama Melancholia is now set to be released on November 10, 2021, at 10:30 PM KST. New episodes for the series will be aired every Wednesday and Thursday. International fans can stream the show online through Viki with English subtitles.
