Hahn made her debut as a sorcerer villain, Agatha Harkness, in the Wandavision TV series and manipulated Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda throughout the series. Starring in a villain role usually means that fans would expectedly despise your character, but not for Hahn. Agatha Harkness became one of the fan-favorite villains much like Loki and Hela.

2022 has a good line-up of TV shows and films for Marvel Studios but seems like her spinoff wouldn't be a part of 2022 Marvel's slate. According to Hahn, the Disney+ show is still in development. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hahn discussed the development of her villain character's spinoff. Hahn explained, "exactly what I would have hoped and dreamt."

The actress continued, "It's crazy to me and kind of buoying that this big chapter happened post-kids for me," Hahn explained. "I subconsciously was taught that after I had kids, I'd have to drop my ambition ball, and that really didn't seem to be the case. In fact, more doors opened."

In a previous interview with Drew Barrymore, Hahn asked if Mephisto will make an appearance in the spinoff. While Hahn didn't have a direct response, she addressed some fan theories and speculations about the TV show.

"I keep hearing that. I have no idea," Hahn revealed. "That was like a big thing during WandaVision. But, I have no idea, who knows? I mean, I think right now, like anything, like Marvel, I mean, who knows it's anything is probably possible. But, like I have never heard anything definitive about that at all."

While Hahn seems to be avoiding the specifics of her TV show, she teases what she loves about Agatha: House of Harkness:

"All I'll say, in terms of a real great deflection of that question is that… There is something that does feel so badass to be playing like, you know, we think of a witch and you think of, you know, immediately you think of a woman who is loud, who is mysterious, who is dangerous because she's complicated and she's misunderstood. All of that stuff is a real turn on to me as a performer in terms of digging into this person a little bit more, very excited."

We don't have much information yet about the film aside from their scheduled filming date, which will be in October. And the release date is rumored to be in 2023 or 2024.

However, Kathryn Hahn will be one of the ensemble cast of the Knives Out sequel, coming to Netflix this 2022.
