Kaguya-sama: Love is War returned witch chapter 242 shedding light on Kaguya's family, about whom Miyuki knew relatively little.

The seinen manga by Aka Akasaka is reportedly at its last arc, making this a bittersweet time for fans who have followed since it was first released, back in 2015. At the same time, the imminent ending is good news and means that, while the forthcoming third season won't necessarily be the conclusion, a final season would be able to tie all loose ends at a different time.

Another chapter concluded without Kagyua and Miyuki seeing each other, so, for the time being, fans will only want them to be together again. In that respect, we got you covered. In the sections below, you'll find our handy guide to Kaguya-Sama Love Is War Chapter 243, including the newest chapter's release date and time, so that you can catch up with the latest updates first!

In the newest chapter, Miyuki's long-awaited reunion with Kagyua doesn't happen even though he visits her house. Instead, we get unseen before insights on Kaguya's brother, Un'yo.

Seeing Miyuki surprised at the Shinomiya patriarch's advanced age, Un'yo explains that Kaguya is the daughter of a concubine who dies shortly after giving birth. Un'yo himself is the son of a stepmother and wasn't considered important in the line of succession.

Due to their shared low status in the family, Un'yo brought up Kaguya himself. He was an abusive caretaker, who tried to keep her from becoming their eldest brother's pawn while using her as his own.

Miyuki declares that he loves Kaguya as she is, understanding her behavior better but not thinking any less of her due to this messed-up upbringing.

Un'yo explains that in the current stays of messed-up, Kaguya is important for the family. In that sense, Un'yo considers Miyuki as Kaguya's weakness: if he was kidnapped, for instance, Kaguya would then become Oko's puppet. Because of that, Un'yo tasks Hayasaka with accompanying Miyuki everywhere to ensure he stays safe.
