Justice League Star is Pushing For Netflix's Acquisition of the SnyderVerse

It's been nearly two years since the release of Zack Snyder's Justice League but the fan support continues to be tremendous. Despite DC Studios heading into a different creative direction under James Gunn and Peter Safran's leadership, the director's avid fans haven't given up on the whole "Restore the SnyderVerse" movement.

In fact, they recently kickstarted a wild campaign asking Netflix to acquire Snyder's DCEU catalog with the hashtag #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix becoming a fixture on Twitter's hot trending topics. Although Gunn has already rejected the movement, one actor is now voicing his support for it.

On Twitter, actor Wayne T. Carr surprisingly joined the movement that has been gaining some traction on the platform. It's common knowledge amongst fans that Carr was supposed to make an appearance in the Snyder Cut as John Stewart aka Green Lantern.

Unfortunately, Warner Bros. rejected Snyder's plans to include him and Carr was later replaced by Calvin Swanwick's Martian Manhunter who appeared during the film's closing sequence with Ben Affleck.

Urging WB to sell the SnyderVerse to the popular streaming service, Carr wrote: "So many things don’t make sense to me. But, some things do…"

Netflix being the official home of the SnyderVerse makes a lot of sense, especially considering the director has developed a good working relationship with the streaming giant. However, assuming WB does allow the SnyderVerse to be sold to a different platform, that's not an indication that he'll be able to finish what he started because obviously, he doesn't own the rights to the characters.

Zack Snyder's Justice League is available to stream on HBO Max. Meanwhile, the DCU's first chapter begins with Superman: Legacy, hitting cinemas on July 11, 2025.
