Justice League Rotten Tomatoes Score Officially Revealed, and It's Bad

Justice League's Rotten Tomatoes aggregate score has finally been revealed, and it's not looking pretty for those who had high hopes for DC's blockbuster. As of writing this article, the film has a 40% "score, which is considered "rotten" by critics.

The film's Rotten Tomatoes score was being held back until release day, and now that it's out in some countries, you can now see the official score on the site's Justice League page. The score was first revealed in an episode of the site's See It or Skip It before appearing on the site. With Warner Bros. parent company Time Warner owning a partial stake in the online review aggregation website, fans might find this kind of approach suspicious. Plus, there's currently no critics consensus on Justice League's Rotten Tomatoes page, so it looks like they're giving it some special treatment.

Compared to Metacritic's score of the film, it's slightly lower. Currently, Justice League has a 48 score on Metacritic. Of course, the score could still change as more critics see the film over the weekend but it's probably not going to go above 50%. 60% or more is considered "good". In the bright side, it's higher than Batman v Superman's 27% score but that's like comparing which poison is more intense.

Despite the negative reviews and mediocre Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores, it looks like the film is still poised to do well at the box office. Fans would still love to see the DC team come together like they've never seen before in a live-action film.

Justice League will be out in U.S. theaters this Friday.
