Justice League: Fans Angry At Joss Whedon For Liking Tweets Bashing Steppenwolf

If you'd read some of the early reviews for Justice League, you know that a lot of people thought that the villain Steppenwolf was a bit bland and boring. Joss Whedon thought so too, and after he liked some tweets bashing Steppenwolf on Twitter, fans suddenly got angry at him for not supporting the movie since its release.

Check it out. This is the tweet that Joss Whedon liked:

And this is what people had to say about it:

In Whedon's defense, I think most of the changes he did were for the main characters and not for Steppenwolf at all. Maybe Whedon himself was frustrated that Steppenwolf had to be written that way and there was nothing he could do to change it.

Either way, I don't get why fans should act so negatively toward Whedon. It's not like he's the worst director out there. If anything, he's probably responsible for making the movie more compact and less complicated. Then again, you have to admit he should be a bit more supportive for a movie that he finished. Maybe he's harboring hard feelings for not getting a director credit? That's just my guess.

Either way, some fans have actually come to Whedon's aid to defend his actions:

Walking out of Justice League, you don't really feel that much of a divide between the work of Whedon and Snyder, but you'll definitely spot some of their signature work. I don't know how fans will react to the movie once it comes out, but I think they'll be happy it isn't as drab or depressing as Batman v Superman.

Justice League hits theaters Nov. 17.
