Justice League: Image of Superman (Possibly) from the Synder Cut Makes its Way Online


Justice League ended up being quite a mess of a movie, and one of the most glaring criticisms was the CGI used to erase Henry Cavill's moustache. A new photo of Cavill's Superman has come out online, and it looks like it came from the earlier production, before the reshoots which gave us CG-upper lip Superman.

To those who don't know, Cavill's role in Mission Impossible 6 had forbidden him from shaving off his moustache. Though WB offered to CGI in Cavill's moustache for his role in MI6 (for free), Paramount refused, and hence WB had to spend millions just to remove Superman's facial hair—resulting in this:

As for the original Zack Snyder cut of the movie, a lot of people have been clamoring for its release, but reports have been clashing online about the cut's existence. Some insist that there is a full cut that requires minimum pick-up shots, while others say that Snyder wasn't able to complete a version of his film at all.

With Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad getting extended home releases, it's a real bummer that DC hasn't been able to pump out a Snyder cut—or at least give us a statement about why we can't have it. Hopefully DC film head Walter Hamada will consider releasing it after the DCEU train starts pumping again.

The next DCEU film to come out is Aquaman, and it's slated for a release on Dec. 20.
