This piece of information is a little bit bizarre, to say the least, but we can now confirm that the Star Wars franchise does, in fact, exist in JurassicPark's universe of monsters and dinosaurs even though on paper, it doesn't exactly sound logical. This interesting bit is actually confirmed by Netflix's animated Jurassic Park spinoff CampCretaceous, a show that follows the exploits of six teenagers who are stranded in a camp full of prehistoric creatures which of course takes a little page from the Jurassic films' playbook.
The billion-dollar nerd franchise was actually referenced in one episode of the said animated series, one where the show's main protagonist Kenji Kon is seen demonstrating to his friends his "lightsaber skills" with the use of a flashlight, complete with the whooshing sound and effects commonly associated with the iconic Star Wars weapon. It's quite hilarious and at the same time nostalgic because we've all been there before, right? And sure, while it doesn't really imply that the two franchises have huge ties with one another, it's still something interesting.
Now, it shouldn't come as a stunner of a revelation anymore as several other franchises, be it film or television have already referenced Star Wars in the past, which only goes to show how huge of a deal it truly is. Heck, even the already established Marvel Cinematic Universe has injected a few Star Wars references here and there, although that one isn't as surprising considering Disney owns both titles but yeah, what I'm trying to say here is that Star Wars will forever go down in history as one of the most influential nerd franchises of all time and whether you like it or you don't, it cannot be changed.
