The works of one of the most legendary manga authors in the whole world is coming in on Netflix with Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre and a new trailer release pumps up the arrival of 20 of his stories on the streaming platform.
Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre is finally coming on Netflix this month boasting the anime adaptations of 20 stories of the famed horror artist such as Tomie, Whispering Woman, The Strange Hizikuri Siblings, The Story of the Mysterious Tunnel, Mold, Headless Statue, and other fan-favorites.
A new trailer has been dropped by Netflix for Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre pumps up the release of the upcoming anthology series boasting the thrilling and horrifying episodes of the anime adaptation of the works of the famed horror scribe.
Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre is directed by Shinobu Tagashira who also made the character designs under Studio DEEN with Kaoru Sawada as the scribe of the anthology anime series, and Yuki Hayashi as the composer of the music in the show.

A star-studded voice cast banners the series like Hisako Kanemoto as Sayoko for Unendurable Labyrinth, Rie Suegara as Tomie in Tomie: Photo, Yuji Mitsuya as Sōichi in Foux x Four Walls, Hiro Shomono as Oshikiri in Intruder, Takatsugu Chikamatsu as Ice Cream Man in Ice Cream Truck, Iori Nomizu as Kagumi Fujino in The Hanging Balloons, Ken Uo as Rogi in Mold, among many others.
Iu Toori (As Was Said) by JYOCHO is the anime's ending theme song, fitting for the title of the anthology series as the all of the 20 stories are reviewed throughout the whole song.
Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales of the Macabre premieres on Netflix on January 19, 2023.
