Julian Dennison Isn't Allowed to Watch Deadpool 2

If anyone can play a likeable kid-rebel, it's Julian Dennison, and he stars as Russell Collins a.k.a. Firefist in Deadpool 2. As it turns out, Dennison actually isn't allowed to watch the film, and shares this weird experience he had on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Check it out:

Apparently, Dennison was asked to introduce Deadpool 2 for a fundraiser, but since the film was R-16 and Dennison was only 15, he was asked to leave afterwards along with some of his friends.

Dennison also talks a bit about Hunt for the Wilderpeople and Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, the former film he starred in. In a recent interview with Waititi, Dennison shares that the director joked with him:

"I just want to let you know, you owe your whole career to me."

Dennison's breakout role was of "bad egg" Ricky Baker in Taika Waititi's Hunt for the Wilderpeople. In the film, he plays a rebellious child who ends up getting lost in the woods with his uncle (Sam Neill). What's cool about Dennison is, he can play totally rebellious and misbehaving characters, but at the same time still be likeable—perfect for the role of Russell in Deadpool 2.

Though Dennison may have to wait for year before he can watch it, over 18 audience members can catch Deadpool 2 in theaters now.
