After Yuki Tsukumo was featured on the cover of the last volume, Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24 was finally revealed, and it features Hana Kurusu on the cover.
This new volume cover was revealed on the manga’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. There, Hana Kurusu is shown in full color, complete with plenty of details.
Also confirmed in the announcement is the next volume’s official release date in Japan. This should also give international fans an idea of when to expect the volume’s English release through Viz Media.

Hana Kurusu Graces the Cover of Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24
The past two Jujutsu Kaisen manga volumes have been met with a lot of love from fans. After all, the last two volumes featured Maki Zenin and Yuki Tsukumo who are both fan favorites.
Now, the streak of girls being on the cover continues as Hana Kurusu is finally given a chance to shine on the Volume 24 cover.
Hana may not have had action-packed fights like Maki and Yuki, but she is an important part of the Culling Game arc’s end. After all, it’s her ability that finally unsealed Satoru Gojo.
It may not have been shown in detail, but Hana Kurusu used her technique called Jacob’s Ladder to free Gojo from the Prison Realm. This is because Hana can nullify any curse thanks to the ability of Angel.
Essentially, Hana is like Yuji from before in that she is the host of the Heian-era sorcerer Angel. Unlike Sukuna though, Angel is not a malevolent sorcerer and did not take over Hana’s personality.

Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24 Cover Gets Mostly Positive Reactions
As Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most popular ongoing manga currently, every new volume cover reveal is met with a lot of reactions.
For this latest volume, most fans are happy with it, based on the reactions to the official post. Specifically, many fans are happy that Hana is finally getting some love.
Some fans were surprised by Hana being the cover character though, especially considering the game-changing events involving Megumi and Sukuna.
Most of the reactions are positive, though there are some complaints about the new cover. Some aren’t happy with how simple the background looks, while others just aren’t fans of Hana as a character.
These reactions are from a minority though, as many are still excited to buy Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 24 when it comes out in Japan on October 4, 2023.
Based on the release schedule gap, international fans will need to wait until late 2024 before Viz Media releases the English version.
