Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season delivered a lot of exciting moments, but it has finally ended with Episode 47, but not without bringing back a fan favorite. That’s because Jujutsu Kaisen brought back Yuta Okkotsu.
Yuta has become a favorite among many fans thanks to his appearance as the protagonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie.
Even though he did not take part in the Shibuya Incident arc, his quick appearance in the second season finale was enough to send fans into a frenzy online.
Spoiler Warning: There are Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 spoilers in this article.
Yuta Okkotsu Returns for the First Time Since Jujutsu Kaisen 0
Despite being one of the most powerful sorcerers in the series, Yuta Okkotsu did not appear during the Shibuya Incident arc. In fact, his appearance in the final Season 2 episode marks his debut in the anime series.
Yuta’s appearance at the end was one that many manga readers were looking forward to seeing in the anime. Based on the reactions online, Yuta’s debut did not disappoint.
Shortly after the last Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 episode was released, Yuta became a trending topic on X (formerly Twitter) with nearly 200k posts.
Many were struck by his new look, which sees him sport longer hair. Fans also loved how menacingly he delivered his final line.
What’s more, fans also liked how Episode 47’s opening theme features Yuta to mark his appearance in the anime series.
Even though fans wanted to see more of Yuta, their wish will be granted in the upcoming season.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Next Season Promises to See Yuta and Yuji Cross Paths
Following the final episode, MAPPA revealed that the anime has been renewed for a new season, and it will adapt the manga’s Culling Game arc.
Before the Culling Game though, Yuta and Yuji Itadori will cross paths. That’s because Yuji’s execution has been reinstated, and Yuta has been tasked with executing him.
Given how powerful Yuta is, it’s going to be interesting for many anime-only fans to see how these two characters will fare when they see each other.
As for when that will be, there’s no word yet on when the next Jujutsu Kaisen season will air.
Based on the gap between Seasons 1 and 2, there’s a chance that it will take over two years for the next season. If that is also the case for Season 3, we might see it premiere as late as 2026.
