It's official: Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is coming in July and the first trailer for the anime's second season offers a glimpse at Satoru Gojo's adventures as a student of Tokyo Jujutsu High School. In addition to that, the teaser is hyping up the epic showdown between Gojo and the powerful assassin Toji Fushiguro.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date Confirmed in New Trailer
The new Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 trailer was dropped on March 25 and features awesome footage from the anime's second season. We immediately meet Riko Amanai, a young girl who plays an important role in the manga's Gojo's Past Arc (referred to as the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc in the anime). It doesn't take long before Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto make an appearance, announcing that they will protect her.
But why does Riko need protection? As it turns out, there's a bad guy after her and Gojo quickly engages the villain. It's a brief glimpse at what could be one of the second season's best fights and we can't wait to see Toji Fushiguro in action.
When Is The Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date?
On Friday, fans were buzzing as the new key visual for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 was dropped since it looked like a fun slice-of-life illustration (it's not, trust us). However, things got even crazier when the new header for Jujutsu Kaisen's Twitter account accidentally leaked the release date for the second season.
Luckily, the Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 release date has been officially revealed. In addition to that, the second season will consist of two consecutive cours with the second one adapting the Shibuya Incident Arc of Gege Akutami's manga. Although the episode count has not yet been announced, there is a good chance that Season 2 will have 24 or more episodes.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is also known as the Hidden Inventory / Premature Death Arc. The second season will premiere on July 6, 2023.
