It seems that every week, Jujutsu Kaisen becomes a trending topic on X. This is no surprise given that Season 2 is covering some of the biggest events in the manga.

To start, the second season began with the Hidden Inventory arc, which delighted fans by depicting Gojo and Geto’s younger selves, along with the fan-favorite Toji Fushiguro.

Now, the Shibuya Incident is well underway, and the action-packed fights are delighting fans.

Last week, the Choso vs. Yuji fight took over X. Now, lots of reactions are being shared toward the latest battle.

Unlike the previous episode, though, Episode 38 had mixed responses from some fans. Not everyone likes the direction of the fights in this new episode.

Along with some criticisms toward the animation, MAPPA is also a major topic, and not exactly for the better.

Following the new episode, there have been renewed discussions about MAPPA’s reported production issues.

Whatever the case may be regarding the show behind the scenes, what’s undeniable is that Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is a huge hit in terms of average viewership.

In the latest Video Research Ltd. report, it was revealed that the anime has 6.3 million average viewers per episode.

For reference, it was the second-most-watched anime of Summer 23, with only the long-running Sazae-san having more viewers.

As for which episodes have the highest number of viewers, it should come as no surprise that Episode 4 of Season 2, which showed Gojo’s awakening, was the highest. Specifically, that episode recorded 6.79 million viewers.

Given the upcoming events in the Shibuya Incident arc, it’s likely that the show will continue to get high viewer numbers.

It’ll be interesting to see the show’s final average when the season ends.
