Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is the talk of the town once again after its latest episode. Aside from the epic fight scene featuring Yuji and Megumi, Jujutsu Kaisen fans also noticed that the young Satoru Gojo felt a lot like Killua from Hunter x Hunter.
The show’s latest episode featured an interesting flashback that showed Gojo as a kid.
Aside from showing just how powerful he was even back then, this scene drew a lot of attention from Hunter x Hunter fans.

Kid Gojo’s Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Appearance Draws Killua Comparisons
Satoru Gojo is one of the most popular characters in Jujutsu Kaisen. Because of this, the past weeks haven’t been great for Gojo fans, especially given how he was sealed in the anime’s events.
This is unfortunately necessary given how overpowered he is. If he wasn’t sealed, the show’s villains wouldn’t stand a chance against him. However, they finally caught a break as Geto’s plan to trap Gojo worked.
Even while trapped, the anime still showed Gojo, albeit as his younger self in an interesting flashback.
It was shown that even as a kid, Gojo’s incredible power meant that curses and cursed users had to lie low as they’d easily be defeated.
Gojo’s game-changing abilities drew Killua comparisons from fans. After all, Killua’s Nen allows him to intimidate pretty much anyone, preventing them from landing an attack.
Aside from his ability, Gojo’s younger version also looks and sounds a lot like Killua. It turns out that there’s a good reason for this.

Comparisons Are Spot-On as Killua’s VA Voices Young Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen
It was soon revealed following the episode’s broadcast that the young Gojo is voiced by Mariya Ise, the voice actress of Killua in Madhouse’s 2011 Hunter x Hunter anime.
Ise revealed her surprise Jujutsu Kaisen role via her personal X (formerly Twitter) account. This also proves just how versatile of a VA she is.
After all, Ise may be known for voicing young male characters, but she’s also the VA of characters like Himeno in Chainsaw Man and Midari in Kakegurui.
Casting Ise can also be seen as an interesting nod to Jujutsu Kaisen’s inspirations. That’s because series creator Gege Akutami revealed before that Hunter x Hunter is a big influence on himself and his work.
It’ll be interesting to see if the young Gojo will make another flashback appearance in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2’s next episode which will be released next week.
