There is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen had an exciting week, thanks to an awesome update on Season 2 and some awesome victories for the first season. After getting several wins at Crunchyroll's Anime Awards, Jujutsu Kaisen has just been named Anime of the Year at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2022!
Jujutsu Kaisen bested numerous other nominees who were chosen via fan vote at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2022. The anime got the most votes out of 80 other titles. Needless to say, it's a well-deserved award considering that fans couldn't get enough of the first season alone.
The Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2022 also gave Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time the Best Picture Award at the event. In addition to that, there were several individual awards handed out.

Best Art/Color/Image - Yuichi Terao for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Best Sound and Performance - Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
Jujutsu Kaisen has also been confirmed for a second season. The official announcement was made at a special screening of Jujutsu Kaisen 0.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is still screening in theaters and is expected to hit cinemas across North America this March. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to be dropped anytime between December 2022 and March 2023. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
