Here's What Happened Before Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 213

In Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 212, we find out that "Tsumiki" is in fact now a vessel for an ancient Jujutsu sorcerer who had been using his host's brain to learn about the modern world.

Tsumiki's new rule for the Culling Game allows players to enter or leave the colonies freely, putting combatants and non-combatants alike in peril, as any malevolent person or spirit can freely attack those still in the colonies.

Yorozu, the ancient sorcerer using Tsukimi's body as a vessel, proceeds to use this new rule to have a fight with Sukuna on the spot.

Sukuna uses the Binding Vow which allows him to take over Yuji's body for a full minute by chanting the word "enchain."

One of the conditions of the Vow is that Yuji has no memory of it. Another, set by Yuji himself, was that Sukuna wouldn't be able to harm others during that minute.

Unfortunately, Yuji had neglected to include himself in the condition.

Sukuna is therefore able to imbue cursed energy on one of Yuji's fingers, then sever it and force Megumi to ingest it.

In a shocking twist, Megumi becomes Sukuna's vessel, in front of a shocked Yuji who has lost his characteristic eye slits. This suggests that Sukuna has left him for good.

While Yuji was unusually good at surviving and retaining his selfhood despite Sukuna's presence, we have no indication that this will also be the case for Megumi, making fans worry about his fate.

The main question for Chapter 213 is whether there's any hope for Megumi to survive, and how Yuji might react to this new and shocking challenge.

Yuji's symbiotic relationship with Sukuna was by no means harmonious, but Yuji was managing it remarkably well.

Many fans even believed that the manga would conclude with Yuji's' sacrifice to end Sukuna for good.
