Higuruma activates his Domain Expansion, causing Itadori to attack immediately. However, his kick doesn't hit. Higuruma says his domain, which is similar to a trial, doesn't allow both of them to engage in physical violence. The trial begins, and Itadori is accused of entering a pachinko parlor even though people below 18 years old aren't allowed there. Higuruma informs Yūji that the Judgeman knows everything about the people inside the domain, but Higuruma doesn't have access to that information. The verdict lies upon the arguments that the two of them will lay down, along with evidence.
Higuruma says Itadori needs to prove himself innocent in front of the Judgeman. Itadori then remembers what Tengen said about domains and how these weren't always as lethal as they are now. Higuruma explains that they both have the chance to make a statement before a verdict is delivered. Yūji asks what will happen if the verdict is guilty, but Higuruma says he doesn't need to answer that. He tells him the three options he can do in court.
Itadori thinks about his options. He admits to going to the pachinko parlor, but only to use the bathroom. Higuruma shows the evidence, which is a photo of Itadori exchanging money at the parlor. Itadori is then guilty of unlawful entry since minors aren't allowed to enter pachinko parlors. Higuruma said he could have just denied the accusation. Judgeman declares Itadori guilty. Higuruma begins attacking Itadori, and the latter realizes that he's unable to control his cursed energy.
