Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Releases New Trailer Revealing More on the Prequel

After its success on the anime series released early this year, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is coming in hot as it releases a new trailer which would be revealing more on the prequel film of the world of demons and curses, introducing the main characters, and giving a preview of what the theme song is.

The supernatural horror shōnen anime series of Jujutsu Kaisen brings about the thrill and suspense mixed up in one anime series giving a different taste to anime fans and viewers with curses, occult, and mystery happening all at once.

The movie, being a prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will follow the story of the events before that of the original manga with the character of Yuta, who is the childhood best friend of Rika who got killed in a car accident, haunting Yuta with her cursed spirit. Once Yuta arrived in the Jujutsu Academy, he encounters Gojo who teaches him how to manage the spirit.

In the trailer, it is also shown who the main antagonist is: Suguru Geto. MAPPA also introduced to the fans a quick preview of the opening song of the movie which will be “Itto” by King Ginu, perfectly fitting the other music used in the movie, plus it is just right for the action scenes in the film.

Jujutsu Kaisen is from the pages of the Japanese supernatural shōnen manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in March 2018. It also has a light novel series. In January 2021, Jujutsu Kaisen manga ranked second in Oricon’s weekly manga ranking.

Should you want to rewatch the anime series, Jujutsu Kaisen is available online through Crunchyroll in its original Japanese audio with English subtitles for the price of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be released on December 24, 2021 in Japan, the perfect Christmas treat for the occult-loving. There is no international release date yet.
