Jujutsu Kaisen Snaps Up 5 Wins at Anime Awards 2022

There is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most promising new anime in the past two years. So it's no surprise that the MAPPA-produced show won big again at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2022, taking home five awards this year!

Crunchyroll has announced the big winners at this year's Anime Awards and not surprisingly, Jujutsu Kaisen nabbed several awards for the first season's second cour. This time, the character Nobara Kugisaki was awarded Best Girl while animator Tadashi Hiramatsu won Best Character Design for his work on the anime's cour 2.

The second cour of Jujutsu Kaisen was filled with amazing fights that truly impressed fans and critics. The epic showdown where Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo went up against Hanami was awarded Best Fight Scene and the anime took home the Best Action award as well. Last but not least, voice actor René Dawn-Claude won the Best VA Performance (German) for playing Satoru Gojo.

It is really no surprise that Jujutsu Kaisen continued to win big at the Anime Awards 2022. After all, the first cour won Anime of the Year last year. Fans are also hoping that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will continue to rack in the awards next year, and there are speculations that the anime will finally be getting a second season before the end of 2022.

It has been confirmed that Jujutsu Kaisen will be getting a major panel at Anime Japan this March and it is believed that the franchise will be dropping some big news at the RED stage next month. Will we finally get the first teaser for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2? Although it has not yet been confirmed, hopes are high for some huge announcements at the event.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will hit theaters in the US and Canada on March 18, 2022.
