Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has been on a roll for some time now and it looks like the prequel film is well worth the hype. The anime movie has finally reached international shores and it just made a mark on Japan's box office record!
Back in December, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 made waves when it was finally released in Japanese theaters. It's been several months since then but the movie finally found its way into the top 20 of highest-grossing films in Japan, kicking Jurassic Park out of the list by earning 13 billion yen since its release.
It's an impressive feat considering that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is the first film released in the past year that made the Top 20. It is also the 9th Japanese movie to enter the Top 20 and the eighth anime film to make the list. Although it still has a long way to go before dethroning Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Mugen Train, there is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be moving up the list very soon. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 recently crossed the pond and got its theatrical release in several countries across the globe. The film has yet to be released in Asian countries like India and the Philippines but fans are hoping that this will change soon.
While the franchise is enjoying the success of the film and manga, the anime is also set for an update later this year or early 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has been officially announced and is expected to drop in Winter next year. There's a chance that the anime will be back in December 2022 but it is more likely to premiere between January and March 2023.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is available with subtitles and English dubbing. The movie is now screening across the globe.
