JonTron Gives Star Wars Battlefront II His Seal of Approval

Though Star Wars Battlefront II is a great game (yeah, I said it), its terrible launch back in 2017 has been following it like an ugly shadow that the devs can't shake off. People in the community have been trying hard online to try and convince other games that Battlefront II is "fixed" now, but time and again there are still some attacking the game based on its launch. The cool thing is, now even JonTron is showing his support for BFII.

The former Game Grump posted this up on his Twitter:

Of course, everyone knows the gripe comes from the terrible 2017 launch. It was said to have been so bad that EA's stock had significantly lowered. JonTron isn't completely unaware of it though, and he posted this:

If you actually look at the state of the game now, you'll see that loot boxes and the pay to win mechanics are gone from the game. Sure there are microtransactions, but they're purely for cosmetics. Ever since launch, DICE has fixed the progression system, and live service exists as promised. Just last month we got a new game mode and new playable classes, and soon we're expecting a new Felucia map.

For now, the community thinks EA should invest in a relaunch campaign, and maybe it would go well with the release of The Mandalorian, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker near the end of the year. Hopefully, by then the skeptics will finally give the game a shot, and the community can continue to grow.

Star Wars Battlefront II is now playable for Xbox One, PC, and PS4.
