Star Wars Battlefront II Releases Community Calendar for July

Star Wars Battlefront II may have had a terrible launch back in 2017, but that hasn't stopped DICE from picking the game back up and attempting to change everyone's minds. The live service continues for the game, and EA Star Wars has just released their community calendar for July.

Admittedly there isn't anything that big coming this month save for some exclusive emotes and victory poses, but I guess that's kind of fair, what with the new game mode and reinforcements coming last June. For now, the devs are working on a new Felucia map which could come in August, so I can imagine we can't be expecting anything too big this July.

Besides the Felucia map, a lot of fans have been asking for new skins on heroes, and devs have been confirming online that they are well aware of what the community wants. For now, I guess they're just trying to find out which appearances to put into priority, and when is the right time to release them. I'm hoping they can arrive by August, but it's possible we would have to wait till the end of the year. It's possible the devs may also want to tie something in with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

If I have one personal gripe, I would actually love to have more content on the sequel and original trilogies. As of now, it looks like the devs are putting all their focus on the Clone Wars content, which I think is fine, but it kind of alienates a chunk of the fanbase which prefers the other eras.

For now, you can play Star Wars Battlefront II on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
