Coming out as the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, there's still a lot of things about Todd Phillips' Joker that fans ought to decipher and are very curious about; one of which is Bruce Wayne's parents' killer.

When Arthur Fleck shot Murray Franklin on live TV, this has sparked a strike among the people who are just as livid as Joker. These people were wearing clown masks, and are running amok the streets of Gotham. After successfully getting the Joker out of the police car, he stands on top of the vehicle as these people cheer him on. One part of the movie cuts to a scene where another person in the same mask shoots Thomas and Martha Wayne, leaving their son behind.

With the release of Joker's official script (via Deadline), fans expected that they would see a namedrop of the killer of Batman's parents. However, there were no names revealed in the screenplay, instead, they only described the man as a "punk."

There were a lot of speculations as to who exactly murdered Bruce Wayne's parents, including Joe Chill or Jack Napier; but none of these were mentioned in the film's final draft. You can check out that part of the script below.

It is understandable for the killer to not be named especially since Phillips didn't exactly follow everything in the comics. Instead, he made his own version of showing the story of becoming the Clown Prince of Crime, which is potentially why none of the speculated names from the Batman movies weren't mentioned in the film's script. You can check out the full script here.

Joker is getting an Ultra HD and Blu-Ray release on January 7, 2020.
