Joker: More Details Revealed about Marc Maron's Character

Todd Phillips' Joker has a lot of impressive members in its cast, and one of them is comedian/actor Marc Maron. Thanks to That Hashtag Show, we have a small update on who Maron is playing in the movie.

According to THS, Maron is apparently playing a producer to De Niro's talk show host character. Seeing that this movie is focused on Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, we should expect Maron's involvement in the film to be minimal.

Maron has recently gotten under a lot of people's radars thanks to his work on Netflix's GLOW. In that series, he plays a director who brings a women's wrestling show to life; now in Joker, he's once again behind the scenes as a producer.

Besides Maron, De Niro, and Phoenix, the cast also includes Deadpool 2's Zazie Beetz. It was also said for a few days that Alec Baldwin was going to play Thomas Wayne (a.k.a. Batman's dad), but he had to drop out shortly afterwards due to scheduling issues.

The DCEU is admittedly rushing behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but I think they manages to turn the tables when they decided to make alternate timeline films like this one.

Catch Joker in theaters Oct. 4, 2019.
