JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Currently Netflix's Most-Watched Content

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is finally out and it looks like fans can't get enough of Jolyne Cujoh's stay in the Green Dolphin Street Prison. The fifth season of the highly anticipated anime is now the most viewed content on Netflix, just three days after its release!

It's no secret that people were eagerly waiting for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 5 since it was first confirmed back in April. However, it wasn't until the last quarter of 2021 that the anime was announced to air on Netflix in December. This gave fans enough time to prepare for the premiere and not surprisingly, they watched the hell out of the first 12 episodes.

The official JoJo's Bizarre Adventure anime Twitter account confirmed that Stone Ocean is currently the most-watched content in Japan. It has also entered the top 10 in North America and other territories.

The enthusiasm for Stone Ocean isn't a huge surprise. After all, it has been almost three years since JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 4 had concluded. People were eager to continue with Part 6 and catch up on the Joestars' neverending struggle against Dio Brando.

Technically, Stone Ocean isn't another JoJo vs DIO story but the original villain is greatly connected to Season 5's main protagonist. In fact, Dio does appear briefly in a flashback scene where it is revealed how he met the mysterious Enrico Pucci.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean follows Jolyne Cujoh, a young woman who is framed for murder and thrown into a maximum-security prison that is crawling with Stand users. Jolyne discovers she has a hidden power that is awakened by a pendant given to her by her father Jotaro Kujo. When Jotaro visits her in prison, things suddenly take on a dangerous turn for the Joestars.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean is now streaming on Netflix.
