JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Announces Iggy Manga Spin-Off

It looks like a fan-favorite Stardust Crusader is set for a major comeback! JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has just announced a new spin-off manga that will focus on the canine Stand user Iggy!

There is little doubt that Iggy is one of the most interesting characters in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. After all, he is the second animal confirmed to be a Stand user in the Stardust Crusaders story arc and proved to be a loyal companion to Jotaro Kujo despite an uneasy start. Sadly, Iggy was killed off in Part 3 as he helped Jotaro and their friends in the fight against Dio Brando. However, that doesn't mean we've seen the last of the dog that's obsessed with coffee-flavored gum.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure confirmed a new short story titled Iggy The Stray Dog. The new manga will be written by Otsuichi and focus on the pup's early years. Specifically, it will cover the first Stand-off between Iggy and Avdol, who was the one who captured him in New York and brought him on the quest to save Jotaro's mother.

It's great to know that we'll get to see Iggy in action again and that he'll be facing off against Avdol. In both the manga and anime, we got a glimpse at Iggy's past and the initial confrontation between him and Avdol. The idea of seeing The Fool go up against Magician's Red is an exciting one and we can't wait for the spin-off manga to be released soon.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has been releasing several spin-off mangas that focused on Jolyne Cujoh and Josuke Higashikata. These spin-offs are believed to be in preparation for the main manga's next part JoJolands which will be dropped later this year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The JoJo's Bizarre Adventure spin-off manga Iggy The Stray Dog will be released on March 19, 2022 in JOJO Magazine.
