Bam Margera wasn’t part of the latest Jackass movie, Jackass Forever, due to an alleged fallout with the franchise’s cast and crew. So, Johnny Knoxville opened up about the possibility of Margera’s return to the franchise, while Steve-O broke his silence to clear the issue.
According to reports, Paramount Pictures saw that Margera’s substance abuse issues would make him a liability for production, especially since the movie was full of dangerous stunts. Margera, alternatively, earlier claimed that director Jeff Tremaine tried to fight for him to be part of the film but later turned on him and former co-stars and asked his fans to boycott the movie.
Johnny Knoxville Discusses Issue with Bam Margera
In an interview with Variety to promote his new project, Reboot, Knoxville talked about the possibility of Margera’s appearance in the next Jackass movie.
"I think that would be a discussion," he said. Though Knoxville is open to Margera’s return, he can’t commit to it yet.
But if there’s one thing he wants for Margera, it’s for him to get better.
“That's the first step,” he continued. “He has to take that step and maintain that step because everything else is just gravy. Jackass is not important when you're talking about someone's life."
How’s Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera’s Relationship?
Knoxville claimed he hadn’t heard from Margera since the issue about them started. However, he found it not a problem and even hoped Margera was doing fine.
“I haven't spoken to Bam in about a year and a half, give or take six months," he said.
He recalled the last time they talked was with Tremaine, Steve O, and Margera’s wife, figuring out how to help him.

“Then we had a Zoom as a group not long after that, and that was the last time I talked to him.” he continued. “It boils down to: I love Bam. I know that a lot has happened. I just want him to get well for himself and his family.”
Despite everything that has happened, Knoxville stressed, “I love the guy, and I want him to get well and stay well."
Steve-O Addresses the Bam Margera Feud
Amid Margera’s feud with Jackass’ cast and crew, Steve-O found himself the “Switzerland” of the movie, never having any animosity with their former cast member.

“I’ve done absolutely nothing to try to sugarcoat anything,” he explained. “… My relationship with him is great. When I spoke to him a couple nights ago, he goes, ‘Dude, you know, I just want to thank you, man, because you’ve always been there for me.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’ve always been there to tell you how awful the situation is.’”
Just like Knoxville, Steve-O also has nothing but love for Margera and will “never give up on him.”
